King Abdullah II Ibn Al-Hussein of Jordan received, on Sunday in Amman, Fouad Akhrif, who presented his credentials to him in his capacity as new extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador of Morocco to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
On this occasion, the Hashemite Sovereign praised the strong ties and deep brotherhood uniting him to his brother King Mohammed VI, as well as the two royal families and the two brother peoples, welcoming the relations of cooperation and mutual esteem between the two countries.
King Abdullah II also instructed the new Moroccan ambassador in Amman to convey his greetings and wishes for health and happiness to King Mohammed VI, and for greater progress and prosperity to the Moroccan people.
Fouad Akhrif, whom the Sovereign appointed on November 30 as Moroccan ambassador to Jordan, is an experienced diplomat. He held several positions of responsibility in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans Living Abroad, which he joined in 1983.
He also served as first secretary at the Moroccan embassy in Rome, then deputy head of mission at the Kingdom’s embassy in Kuwait.
