Kacou Houaja Léon Adom is now installed in his role as Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Integration and Ivorians Abroad. The latter took charge from outgoing minister Kandia Camara. It was Thursday October 19, 2023 in the premises of the said ministry.
According to Kandia Camara, it is an honor to be able to leave the prestigious department of foreign affairs in the hands of a pure product of the house. She therefore says she is reassured that the dynamic will be able to continue because she does not doubt the abilities of her successor.
As for the new Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Integration and Ivorians Abroad, he expressed his deep gratitude to Prime Minister Robert Beugré Mambé then to the Head of State Alassane Ouattara for having entrusted him with the Department of Ivorian diplomacy. Thus, he is committed to working towards the repositioning of the country on the international scene.
“I am pleased to express my sincere gratitude to all my other predecessors for their commitment, under the leadership of the President of the Republic, to the repositioning of our country on the international scene. They paved the way, and we intend to follow resolutely in their footsteps. I undertake, in this regard, to bring, with the assistance of each of my colleagues and collaborators, my modest stone to the construction of this common work,” suggested Kacou Houaja Léon Adom who congratulated the Minister of State Kandia Camara, now president of the Senate, for all the efforts made to promote Ivorian diplomacy.
