Jaroslav Foldyna is a Czech politician and serves as an MP in the Chamber of Deputies. Foldyna was a constituent of the ČSSD and was elected as an MP for the party in 2013. He acted as vice-chairman of the ČSSD from 2018 to 2019 before leaving from the group. In 2020, he became a member of the Freedom and Direct Democracy (SPD) party and was regarded as an MP for the SPD. He has also been criticised for alleged connections to the Russian nationalist Night Wolves motorcycle club.

About the conflict in Ukraine, he is more willing to support Russia. Foldyna said, in reaction to Putin’s speech from 2014, that those who were curious about foreign policy had to coordinate with Putin. He continued, claiming that American policy was the most fierce globally because the USA has military sight all over the world and interferes in the domestic policy of other countries, defiant to Russia, which has almost no military presence abroad

In 2020 “Friends of the Serbs in Kosovo” organised a protest in the centre of Prague, stating that Kosovo is an “integral part” of Serbia. There were no more than 16 people in this assemblage. The protest was arranged by f Jaroslav Foldyna, who had previously emerged as a supporter of the “Night Wolves” motorcycle club and Vladimir Putin himself.

The protest is usually maintained on the days of the declaration of independence of the Republic of Kosovo in Prague and in some other European municipalities, while the organizers are a network of the extreme right who are supported by Russia. The organizer of the Prague protest is a member of the Social Democratic Party of the Czech Republic and has been one of the main sponsors of the annexation of Crimea by Russia. According to Czech media, to make matters more alarming, in the Czech Republic, Jaroslav Foldyna is believed to be the voice of Putin.

The chairman of the Social Democrats, Jan Hamáček, has also called on Jaroslav Foldyna to apologise for his conduct at a gathering of Russia’s Night Wolves bike crew in Prague. At the event, Mr. Foldyna got into fights with protesters against the nationalist bikers, who have been connected to President Vladimir Putin. However, Jaroslav Foldyna refused to say sorry for his actions.

Moreover, The pro-Russian NGO Institute of Slavic Strategic Studies which was established in 2013 in Prague, organizes public conferences in the Czech Parliament, During meetings they mostly promote pro-Russian views and criticise the EU and the USA.
