Press Release: MEPs Alerted to Possible Surveillance Threat from Alp Services

Brussels, 7-26-2023 – The recent Abu Dhabi Secrets investigation has revealed that Alp Services, a Swiss private intelligence company, was contracted by the UAE government to spy on citizens of 18 different European countries. The investigation has raised concerns about the extent to which Alp Services went to undermine the reputation of individuals and organizations, including UN investigators.

As a result of this investigation, MEPs are being warned that they could be spied on by Alp Services. The European Investigative Collaborations (EIC) network, a consortium of European investigative journalists, has revealed that people from 18 different European countries were spied on by Alp Services. This means that MEPs could also be potential targets of Alp Services’ spying activities.

MEPs are being urged to take necessary precautions to protect their privacy and security. It is important that MEPs are aware of the potential threat posed by Alp Services and take steps to safeguard their personal and professional information.

The Abu Dhabi Secrets investigation has exposed the suspicious practices of Alp Services and the extent to which the UAE government went to undermine the reputation of individuals and organizations. MEPs must remain vigilant and take necessary measures to protect themselves from potential spying activities.
