Zelensky is expected to be received by the Swedish Royal Family, and meet Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson, Speaker of Parliament Norlen, Commander-in-Chief of the Swedish Armed Forces, and leaders of political parties.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky arrived in Sweden on Saturday for an official visit, local media reported.
Accompanied by his wife Olena Zelenska, Zelensky will be received by the Swedish royal family, before meeting Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson, Speaker of Parliament Andreas Norlen, the Commander-in-Chief of the Swedish Armed Forces and leaders of political parties, reported the SVT television channel.
According to SVT, Zelensky’s talks with Swedish leaders will focus on security and Sweden’s support for Ukraine’s EU membership bid.
The Swedish government earlier this week proposed a thirteenth package of support measures for Ukraine, worth 3.4 billion Swedish crowns (310 million US dollars).
To date, Sweden’s support for Ukraine amounts to nearly $17 billion.
