Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has invited former US President Donald Trump to his country for a lesson in wartime diplomacy.
Referring to Donald Trump’s claim that he could end Russia’s invasion of Ukraine within 24 hours if he is re-elected, the Ukrainian president responded that the conservative frontrunner in the US presidential election should come and judge for himself in Ukraine.
Russia announced on Sunday that it had successfully tested an intercontinental ballistic missile capable of carrying nuclear warheads, from a 4th generation nuclear submarine. The launch of the Bulava missile, the first in about a year, comes shortly after Russia revoked its ratification of the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty (CTBT).

At a joint news conference, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky disputed that his country’s war with Russia was at a “stalemate,” after a senior Ukrainian commander said this week that the two armies were found themselves trapped in a war of attrition and positions. He also said on Saturday that the conflict between Israel and the Palestinian Islamist movement Hamas had “diverted attention” from the war between Ukraine and Russia.
