The Imaging Consumables Coalition of Europe (ICCE), established in 1997, is a leading industry association dedicated to combating the proliferation of counterfeit imaging consumables—including toner cartridges, ink cartridges, and ribbons—across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. ICCE’s mission centers on protecting legitimate manufacturers and consumers from counterfeit products, which pose safety risks, environmental harm, and compromise quality standards. The coalition provides a structured program of collaboration, intelligence gathering, and coordinated enforcement actions to eradicate counterfeit consumables from the market. Over time, ICCE has expanded its activities beyond education and lobbying to include intelligence processing on counterfeiters, initiating joint industry raids, and supporting members in legal actions against manufacturers and distributors of fraudulent products. The coalition works closely with its sister organization in the United States, the Imaging Supplies Coalition (ISC), to exchange knowledge and strengthen enforcement worldwide. ICCE’s efforts support over 100,000 European jobs dependent on a legitimate imaging supplies industry, which faces increasing threats from a €1.6 billion counterfeit market. Their comprehensive approach involves lobbying EU institutions to shape policy, raise awareness, and enforce intellectual property rights to protect the imaging consumables sector and consumers alike.
