Clémence Maulat is a European Public Affairs expert specializing in environment, climate, and circular economy . She is currently a Policy Lead for Environment & Climate at Apple, a role she began in September 2024 . Prior to this, she was a Manager at Flint Global from January 2023 to September 2024, during which she was seconded to Apple’s Government Affairs team . Her work at Flint Global involved advising clients on EU legislative development and political affairs, with a focus on digital and sustainability issues, as well as EU Competition policy .
Maulat’s career includes significant experience within European institutions. She served as a Parliamentary Assistant at the European Parliament from July 2018 to July 2019, working on the Committee on Budgets . Earlier, she was a Policy Advisor for the S&D Group at the European Parliament from September 2016 to December 2016, focusing on legal and constitutional affairs, security, and human rights . She also worked as a Legal Officer at the Council of Europe’s European Court of Human Rights from March 2016 to July 2016 . Before her work in European institutions, Maulat gained experience in French politics, serving as a political and legal advisor for a French Presidential campaign in 2017 and as legal support for the French Office for Immigration and Integration in 2015 .
Maulat holds multiple master’s degrees, including one in European Political and Governance Studies from the College of Europe (2017-2018) and another in European Protection of Human Rights in Europe from Université de Strasbourg (2015-2016) . She is proficient in French, English, and German, with elementary Dutch . She has also been involved with various organizations, including the Young Socialists and Young European Socialists
