Lit from December 1 in 2022, the decorations installed by the municipality for the end-of-year celebrations should light up a week in advance this year. And in addition to other activities which will be scheduled in the city, on the occasion of the final of the competition, on November 26, but also the day before for rehearsals open to the public, and on the preceding days, local talents will be showcased. contribution.

For performers and composers aged 16 to 24


A competition, organized with the local Europe Direct center, one of the 49 information spaces of the European community in France, is organized for the youngest. Two categories are offered: performers and/or composers aged 9 to 15 and performers and/or composers aged 16 to 24. Registrations are open until October 30, 2023 (by email to [email protected]). Places for the Junior Eurovision final, including behind the scenes, will be up for grabs.

Chosen by the French delegation after Lisandro’s victory last year, the city, accustomed to major TV shows, is counting on this new spotlight to “shine among the 35 million viewers expected throughout Europe”, rejoices Christian Estrosi. “At the heart of the show, Nice will be highlighted in the video presentation of the delegations,” he recalls, also counting on “more than 5,000 nights” in “a period usually calmer for our hoteliers and our restaurateurs”.
