Julie Lechanteux is a French politician. He has represented the 5th constituency of the Var department in the National Assembly since 2022. She belongs to the National Rally (RN) and previously operated as a Member of the European Parliament from 2019 until 2022. Based on her political affiliations and career it seems that she is a pro-Russian Politician. It is not hidden to the world that RN presented Russian President Vladimir Putin as a “defender of the Christian heritage of European civilisation. The National Front believes that Ukraine has been subjugated by the US, via the Revolution of Dignity. The National Front attacked anti-Russian feelings in Eastern Europe and the request of Western Europe to “Washington’s” interests in the region.
It has also come to light that French Members of Parliament Nationa Rallyl, have conducted services to the Russian government at a moment in their political career. It included the name of Julie Lechanteux.
She was one of the International experts at the 2020 All-Russian Voting in Russia. The “all-Russian voting” on President Putin’s suggested constitutional amendments, which would authorise him to stay in power until 2036, was held between 25 June and 1 Jul 2020. Since the “all-Russian voting” lacked lawful provisions and constitutional status, a new legal framework was developed, which, among others, did not envision any international monitoring.
Therefore, Russian authorities declined to invite any official international observers from established institutions such as the OSCE ODIHR or PACE. However, the government-controlled Civic Chamber of the Russian Federation asked 75 “international experts” to compliment the voting as free and fair and to cover up the essential findings of domestic citizen observers.
As they were asked effectively to support the “all-Russian voting”, these “international experts” actively and eagerly remarked on the voting process to the Russian media, who often faked these experts and referred to them as “international observers”. The international observers including Julie Lechanteux praised Russian technological innovations in the electoral process and positively compared the Russian elections to other electoral processes. They also attempted to legitimise the Russian annexation of Crimea.
