Tunisia-EU Agreement: Civil Society’s Burning Questions

The National Observatory for the Defense of State Civility does not look favorably on the agreement under negotiation between Tunisia and the European Union.

This is, according to the NGO, a dubious agreement. Moreover, she wonders about the reasons for the “rush of the European Union to the conclusion of the agreement”. She also wonders whether this agreement preserves Tunisia’s interests; particularly with regard to the migration file.

In the same vein, the ONDCE calls on the Tunisian authorities to show transparency before the signing of the said agreement. While stressing the importance of informing the Tunisian people of its content. She does not fail to call on the European Union to “avoid taking advantage of the country’s economic crisis and making it a pretext to resolve the migration crisis, to the detriment of the situation in Tunisia. »
